Details
Bikes for everyday use made of carbon? That’s definitely not a contradiction anymore! Quite the contrary: The carbon fibres allow for innovative solutions in terms of design – much more so than standard materials would. But that’s not the only advantage of the Silkcarbon in its Sports/Cross version: Add to that the immense sturdiness, reliable durability, outstanding riding comfort and a stunning design.
Versatility? That’s par for the course when it comes to the Silkcarbon. As an ultra-lightweight sports bike, as a standard trekking bike or as a cross bike: This two-wheeler is suitable for any kind of use. Another advantage: It comes in two versions – a low-entry version for women and a standard-top-tube version for men.
Features
- If you’re looking for a lightweight bike, the Silkcarbon Sport/Cross won’t disappoint: Its 27.2 mm carbon seatpost only weighs 200 grams while still being extremely sturdy.
- Only about 500 grams: That’s how much the full-carbon fork weighs. The specially developed and intelligent comfort layup of the carbon fibres smooths out any kind of uneven terrain and gives the bike added comfort.
- On board as well: integrated 7’’ postmounts for the disc brakes, laminated eyelets for mudguards and a light system, and an internally routed electric cable for the hub dynamo.

Technology
The Silkcarbon in its Sport/Cross version is equipped with well-conceived and high-quality technology features – as should be the case for a high-end bike like this one.
The beating heart of the Comfort Concept are the ultra-thin curved VIBREX® seatstays attached to the VIBREX® monostay. Special carbon fibres and their layup make the frame extremely flexible. Why’s that good? It ensures smooth riding on rough terrain – and that makes all the difference in terms of riding fun!
Advanced Internal Cable Routing makes the bike a real jawdropper: All cables are internally routed through the main frame and the chainstays, which gives the bike a sleek and clean look. Other advantages are the low operational forces needed and the fact that the cables are well protected.

Options
As a cross bike or for everyday use – the Silkcarbon can be configurated just the way you want thanks to all the available add-on features. For instance, if you would like to use the trekking bike for longer tours: Upon request, the mounts for the rear rack and kickstand can be beautifully integrated into the rear of the full-carbon frame of this Silkcarbon. Other optional features are mudguards, a light system, a comfort seatpost and more.
