After thousands of test kilometres and heated discussions, the international award team of journalists, professional test riders and independent industry experts presented the prestigious Winner 2024 award in the Road Bike category to the SIMPLON PAVO IV. The fourth generation of our road bike legend can therefore claim to be one of the best road bikes of 2024.
The jury was impressed by the first-class carbon frame produced in Europe, which combines speed and lightness at the highest level of quality. The experts also emphasised "the Pavo IV impresses with excellent power transfer, which ensures a lively, nimble character". The "overall harmonious blend of look, feel and technical sophistication" is rounded off by "balanced, predictable handling and countless clever details". As a result, the PAVO IV "delivers tons of fun on every ride".
We are extremely pleased about this accolade - and are particularly proud that we were able to win it a second time this year with the KAGU PINION (in the Urban category). Our Managing Director Jakob Luksch is also delighted: "The awards from the jury honour the dedication of our passionate team to continuous innovation. It is a privilege to lead a company that is driven by such enthusiasm for excellence."
With regard to the PAVO IV in particular, we feel that winning the Design & Innovation Award 2024 also confirms our decision to bring frame production, a significant part of the PAVO's value creation, from Asia to Europe.
