Kiaro Disc tested by RennRad

For the Kiaro Disc, Simplon focused on comfort and the bike’s suitability for long-distance rides. And according to the testers of RennRad magazine, these demands were met in full: "Simplon's Comfort Concept frame provides a noticeable flex and thus a significant increase in comfort". Ultra-thin VIBREX® seatstays, a VIBREX® seatpost and a flattened top tube all contribute to a plush suspension and plenty of riding comfort.

What is striking in comparison to its more expensive sister version: The handling of the road bike is almost equally as dynamic and agile. Only when riding uphill, the 800 grams of extra weight on the Kiaro Disc 105 become noticeable.

Agile, lightweight, compact, and smooth running: The Kiaro Disc Red impressed the jury in every respect. "The bike’s weight of 7.66 kg is very good for a comfort-oriented model, and it ensures a direct acceleration behaviour – even uphill and when the bike sways side to side while pedalling." Speaking of good acceleration: What significantly contributes to this is the Kiaro Disc’s high frame stiffness, especially in the bottom bracket area. The lightweight and torsionally stiff DT Swiss ERC1400 wheels also appealed to the jury. 

According to the experts, the Simplon road bike is an absolute must-have for ambitious frequent riders as well as for cyclists who ride marathons.
