The Austrian financial investor SOL Capital Management wants to consolidate the SIMPLON brand within Austrian cycling and further expand its market position with a capital injection. The plans for the future send a clear signal: Administration and production will remain firmly anchored in Austria.

New investor: SOL Capital takes over SIMPLON

Simplon Fahrrad GmbH has successfully completed its debtor-in-possession restructuring proceedings and is looking forward to the upcoming cycling season with renewed strength. With a clear strategic direction, new innovative products and a commitment to the production site in Vorarlberg/Austria, SIMPLON is sending a strong signal for the future. The successful takeover by the new owner SOL Capital Management from Vienna not only secures around 140 jobs, but also creates the basis for further growth.
Together we have ambitious plans for the future. SIMPLON has an excellent reputation in a promising market for premium bicycles. We want to exploit this potential.

Future secured: SIMPLON with new CEO and clear expansion strategy

With SOL Capital Management as its new owner, SIMPLON has gained a strategically experienced partner to accompany the company on its growth path. The new CEO Christoph Mannel will act as a co-investor in SIMPLON. He can look back on many years of management experience in the sports and bicycle industry and has already successfully repositioned several well-known European bicycle and sporting goods manufacturers.
We would like to thank our employees, dealers and partners for their trust and support over the past few months. Now is the right time to look ahead and join forces to lead Simplon into a successful future.
