Pinion also does away with high-maintenance derailleur systems and instead uses a durable, low-maintenance, and reliable belt drive. This makes the entire system highly resistant to external factors like dirt, dust, mud, or water.
Thanks to its compact MGU design, the drive unit is barely noticeable. Positioned at the bottom bracket, it ensures optimal weight distribution on bikes equipped with the Pinion E-Drive System—resulting in incredibly natural and balanced handling.
Pinion batteries stand out for their flexibility. The powerful yet compact Ultracore batteries are integrated into the downtube and can be easily removed. Depending on your needs, they can be extended using a range extender—allowing for a total capacity of up to 1430 Wh.
Gear changes are effortless with Pinion. The electronic gearbox can shift semi-automatically if desired, adapting intelligently to your riding style for a smoother, more intuitive ride. Prefer to shift manually? No problem—whether under load, at a standstill, or while coasting, the MGU handles it all with ease.
The Pinion E-Drive system can be customized to your preferences via smartphone app. Route planning and navigation are also integrated via the FIT E-Bike Control app. And by the way: the entire system is made in Germany.
